Greg Hankins

Greg has been a resident of the Kansas City community since 1972. As a small business owner, he established, managed and expanded land title insurance agencies and outpatient physical therapy clinics.

He has been a member of Jackson County Real Estate Board and Kansas City and Missouri Land Title Associations. In addition, he has served as President or Board member for an adoption agency, Boys and Girls Club, public school health advisory committee, Independence Ministerial Alliance Executive Board, hospital health ethics board member, and other civic group boards and ministerial advisory councils. He currently serves on the board of Sustainable Hope International that serves the developmental needs of orphaned children in eleven locations in Thailand.

Greg has an Associates Degree in Social Science, Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Development and a Masters Degree in Religious Studies. He has received training in conflict resolution, community intervention and dialogue technique, and diversity training. He is a contributing author in the fields of faith and community, issues of diversity, mentoring, congregational growth, discipleship formation and aquatic physical therapy solutions. Greg is an ordained minister and is active in inter-faith dialogue. He is a Vietnam war veteran and an advocate for human rights, individual freedom and the value of democracy.  

He is married to Lynda Schorr-Hankins, founder and proprietor of Uniquely Yours, an interior design firm. They have two adult children and four wonderful grandchildren.
